Privacy policy

UsedTireShop is a directory and a set of tools you can use without telling us who you are. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms and no comments. The site currently runs no advertising and no analytics.

What we collect

• Nothing you type into the tools. The date code decoder, the tread depth converter, the size calculator and converter, the load index and speed rating checks, the value calculator and the shop search all run in your browser; what you type is not sent to us.
• Email you send us. If you write to contact@usedtireshop.org, we keep your message and address to reply and to act on it. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or share your address.
• Hosting logs. The site is hosted by Vercel, which records standard request data (such as IP address, browser type, page requested and time) to deliver and secure the site. We do not use them to identify visitors.

Your location stays on your device

The near-me page offers to sort shops by distance. If you choose “use my location”, your browser asks for your permission first, and the position is used only inside the page to sort shops. It is never sent to us, never stored by us, and never put in a page address.

Cookies, advertising and analytics

The site sets no cookies and loads no advertising or analytics scripts. If we add either in future, this page will be updated before that happens.

Links to other sites

Listings link to shop websites and to map services for directions. When you follow a link, the other site's privacy policy applies.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
